Consultant Physician
An opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Physician with a Special interest in Diabetes in Gibraltar. The successful candidate will be working as part of the team of five Consultant General Physicians with additional responsibilities to deliver Diabetes and Endocrinology service. Applicants must be actively involved in acute internal medicine including coronary care. Non-resident on call cover is provided on a 1 in 4 rota with internal cover, soon to be increased to 1:5
Applicants must hold full registration with the UK General Medical Council, with a licence to practise and be on the Specialist Register in GIM & Endocrinology
The above appointment is offered on contract terms for period of 3 years to commence as soon as possible. Salary, dependent on experience ranges from £104,892 to £129,425 per annum, on a pro rata basis. In addition the post holder will be paid a sum of 10% of the basic salary for undertaking on-call duties and a supplement of 8% of the basic salary in order to provide cross cover of colleagues, for whatever reason, up to a maximum of ten weeks per year.
Passages are payable and transportation of personal effects and accommodation is subsidised.
